B*tch Don’t Kill My Study Vibe: Fill Your Cup at These Five Coffee Shops

Getting into study sesh mode is hard enough without having the wrong ambiance. Studying on campus can be distracting and let’s be honest, the scenery of the TSU and library can get pretty old.

That’s why finding a nearby coffee shop with the right vibe could change your whole experience. There is nothing like studying in an aesthetically pleasing cafe with soothing tunes and dim lights to lull you into the right mindset to take on life’s responsibilities.


If you want to change it up without driving too far from campus — sit down, relax, and take a sip of the top 5 study-friendly coffee shops.


MADE Coffee

Location: 107 W Amerige Ave.

Fullerton, CA 92832

Aesthetic: Simple interior design is really all it takes for good aesthetic. MADE has this down to a science. They notch it up with a bright yellow wall, a color that just elicits happiness.

WiFi: Good connection with password required. 

Outlets: Good amount throughout the walls.

Noise: Typically quiet to moderate noise.  

Hours: Earliest – 7 am 

         Latest – 11 pm

Seating: You shouldn’t have a problem finding a seat here. However, bathroom use requires a key, and a quick walk next door. If you have the bladder of a toddler, you’ve been warned. 


Philz Coffee

Location: 520 N State College Blvd.

 Fullerton, CA 92831

Aesthetic: Philz has an open and comfortable space that allows you to get into your zone. Meet up with a friend or two, and sip on a refreshing Iced Mint Mojito (sweet and creamy please). 

WiFi: They’re so nice that you don’t even need a password to connect. 

Outlets: Good amount spread throughout the shop. 

Noise: It’s moderately quiet for the most part, however, it can get pretty noisy since they enjoy listening to music louder than most. People may talk louder to out do the tunes. 

Hours: 6 am – 9 pm Daily!

Seating: You can usually find seating, but it’s typically hard to get your own space. So if you’re one of those people who spread out their notebook, study guides, highlighters, hydro flask, Philz called and said sorry. 



Location: 500 N Harbor Blvd.

Fullerton, CA 92832

Aesthetic: Even before walking into Dripp, you can feel the vibe. With a patterned tile walkway entrance and tall plants, it’s only preparing you for what’s inside. The natural lighting allows you to breathe during the day. It’s dimly lit at night, and with its wooden and brick interior, it can almost pass for a speakeasy. 

WiFi: 3 words: Not the best.

Outlets: 4 words:  Good luck finding any.

Noise: Moderate noise level. In high-volume times, expect to get distracted.

Hours: Earliest – 7 am  

 Latest – 11 pm

Seating: There’s plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, which includes larger group tables, smaller individual tables, bar areas, and long tables with outdoor heat lamps. However, Dripp tends to get busy during the evening, so prepare to scout for seats and tables.


Stereoscope Coffee Company

Location: 4542 Beach Blvd

Buena Park, CA 90621

Aesthetic: Declutter your mind at Stereoscope Coffee Company. With white walls, black accents, wooden tables, the open space can help with clarity when you’re finding yourself going crazy.

WiFi: As good as their drinks!

Outlets: Plenty of extension cords. 

Noise: Usually quiet, but can get chatty. 

Hours: Earliest – 7 am

             Latest – 12 am

Seating: They’ve made the best of seating arrangements for the amount of space provided. There’s a long central table, bar area, and a corner spot. With all this seating, it can still get pretty crowded at times. 


Intentional Coffee

Location:1805 W Orangethorpe Ave #A

Fullerton, CA 92833

Aesthetic: Looks good, feels good, tastes good. There’s no way you’re failing a test studying here. Bring a friend to take some pictures because the opportunity for Insta content is insane!

WiFi: No problems!

Outlets: Plenty for everyone.

Noise: High  

Hours: Earliest –  6:45 AM

 Latest – 11 PM

Seating: Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. It can get busy at night, but there’s enough to go around.
