Here are four skin care products that will take you from beastly to baby-smooth
By Michelle Ibanez
Let’s face it, there aren’t a lot of beauty products for men. And there don’t need to be.
It shouldn’t be hard for men to be able to take care of their skin. Looking good and feeling good affects all genders equally.
Because of their rarity, skincare products marketed to men are usually overpriced, come with a lot of commitment (like subscription razors), and are hard to find.
So, here are four easy and inexpensive products that don’t require much work. A for effort.
Bioré Deep Charcoal Cleanser – $5.99
What do you do with it?: Wash your face
Everyday dirt and oil can clog pores, making your skin more acne prone, and consequently making it harder for your skin to look like a baby’s butt. This cleanser turns into white foam to bring out dirt, bacteria and other impurities out of your pores. Feels tingly and smells fresh.
The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 – $6.80
What do you do with it?: Put it on before you moisturize
The Ordinary is a new brand that’s been changing the skin care game. Don’t let its long name discourage you from trying it. The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid comes as an oil, and it offers a multi-depth hydration and visible plumping of the skin, without leaving it dry as heck. Apply a few drops to face in the morning and at night and you’re ready to go!
CeraVe Moisturizing Cream – $12.69
What do you do with it? Rub it on your cheeks, chin and forehead
The whole CeraVe skin care line is dermatologist designed to work in all skin care types. It comes in moisturizers for face or body, face cleansers, lotions and everything skin related. This gentle and unscented moisturizer tackles dehydration on your skin. In arid SoCal, moisturizer is a winter essential.
Cetaphil – $12.49
What do you do with it? All of the above
Cetaphil is like CeraVe’s sister. They pretty much focus on the same broad range of skin care concerns, and they’re both equally good! Cetaphil comes in different sizes from travel size on up to industrial, in case you have trust issues when it comes to your skin. Try one skin care routine, and upgrade it it’s not working out.
